> Geospatial Strategy for New India, the vision document, prepared under the guidance of the National Think led by former Nasscom chairman Padma Shri Dr. BVR Mohan Reddy and former ISRO chief Kiran Kumar, among other industry leaders,  was released at GeoSmart India, held from December 3 to 5, 2019 at Hyderabad, India.

> The strategy calls for an autonomous agency under the Prime Minister's Office or Niti Aayog for shaping India’s geospatial roadmap. It has also called for an integrated national geospatial strategy to harness the potential of the industry and leverage its power in the national development agenda.
