The Locus Charter proposes that wider, shared understanding of risks and solutions relating to uses of location data can improve standards of practice, and help protect individuals and the public interest. We hope the Charter can improve understanding of risk, so those can be managed, and the many benefits of geospatial technologies can be realized for individuals and societies.
Through a series of international roundtables, Benchmark initiative and EthicalGeo have now produced draft common international principles on responsible use of location data.
Please join us for the launch of the Locus Charter, which sets out practical principles to help users of location data make informed and responsible decisions.
Please join the Locus Charter Launch event on 24th March 2021 and support this excellent initiative
I would like to thank colleagues at Benchmark initiative and EthicalGeo for their excellent work and efforts to make Locus Charter possible.
