how best to exploit the data revolution to improve science and society
through data-driven discovery and innovation.

IDW combines the Research Data Alliance <https://www.rd-alliance.org/>
 (RDA) Plenary Meeting
<https://www.rd-alliance.org/plenaries/rda-18th-plenary-meeting-part-international-data-week-2021-8%E2%80%9311-november-2021-seoul-south>,
the biannual meeting of this international member organisation working to
develop and support global infrastructure facilitating data sharing and
reuse, and SciDataCon <https://www.scidatacon.org/>, the scientific
conference addressing the frontiers of data in research organised by the
International Science Council’s Committee on Data
<https://codata.org/> (CODATA)
and World Data System <https://www.worlddatasystem.org/> (WDS).

IDW 2021 will take place on 8–11 November 2021, hosted by the Korea
Institute of Science and Technology Information
<https://www.kisti.re.kr/eng/> (KISTI) and the Korea Research Institute of
Standards and Science <https://www.kriss.re.kr/eng/main/main.html> (KRISS)
in Seoul, South Korea.

The two webinars, presented in English, will introduce IDW 2021, the hosts,
themes, and programme components, as well as provide key information on
calls for session proposals. The 45 minute webinars will be recorded and
made available following the events.
