[CODATA-international] Nobel + no data Re: Nobel Prize examples (same old story) Re: Digital Feudalism

Dear Merce et al,
thanks,

but I propose a nobel prize award should have it mandatory to share all
data, and with ISO compliant metadata (=> shows virtually NIL thus far).

The decision process should also be widely open.

Third, such (research) data are to be shown, and mentioned in those awards,
speeches, press releases etc as a core criteria for decisions.

But I seriously doubt that the committee is fluent on digital issues, data
issues, web issues or what we discussed last days.

Happy to learn more about the Nobel Prize and such awards and their
underlying data awards indeed.

(Needless to say, the economy award is widely disputed and whether this
year one will actually
improve poverty or any well-being.
And the one on poetry and literature rarely results into FREE ACCESS of the
awardee writings in libraries or online, rather vice versa:
=>the awardee's stocks just go up and become much more expensive and
exclusive for readers. It's pure selling economics.
And I would say this year's African awardee did not so much for African and
tropical nation data issues neither).

If the nobel prize award is to lead, in modern society, I would say there
is huge potential for improvement, certainly on the governance concept and
data issues for sure.

I find such vanity award concepts just utterly disappointing and not much
helpful for most people, just similar to dynamite itself (what the initial
Nobel money is ~based on).
