The First Public Working Draft of revised DCAT (Data Catalog Vocabulary)
was released last week - https://www.w3.org/TR/2018/WD-
vocab-dcat-2-20180508/

This W3C vocabulary for dataset catalogs and repositories was first
published in 2014 and is now being enhanced and updated in response to
experience. It is widely used as a lingua franca or transfer model for
dataset metadata. It is the model behind the European Commission’s Joinup
registry, and there is a well-maintained CKAN add-on.

Proposed enhancements include expanding scope to support cataloguing data
services, and maybe other things, alongside datasets and their
distributions.
