[CODATA-international] EDISON Workshop: Data Science - from infrastructure to skills for insight and value (29 August 2017, Amsterdam)

*The EDISON project invites participation in a* 1-day workshop at the
Amsterdam Science Park on 29th August 2017 to explore how data science
competences and skills can be bring value to data produced by European
*Research
Infrastructures* and what are the challenges with managing and sustaining
these skills in the competitive condition of today with growing demand from
industry, as well as beyond Europe. The EDISON project has developed the
EDISON Data Science Framework (EDSF) as a conceptual approach to solving
the challenges/problems with capacity building and skills management in
modern data-driven research. This will provide a starting point for
discussions around specific topics relating to recruitment, career
development, team management and professional development.
