Please see the information below. There are only a few days left to submit abstracts to the International conference on Big Data & Knowledge Discovery hosted by the Documentation Research and Training Centre (DRTC), Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Bangalore, India.

Our colleagues at DRTC last year hosted a very successful CODATA-ISI training and research workshop on Big Data http://www.codata.org/events/workshops/workshops-2015/training-workshop-on-big-data

With very best wishes,

International conference on Big Data & Knowledge Discovery
Date: 9th to 11th March 2016
Hosted By
Documentation Research and Training Centre (DRTC),
Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Bangalore, India
Much of the research generates, analyses data making it ubiquitous especially in applied sciences whether it is natural, physical and social. Worldwide there has been keen interest in Big Data applications in many a domain. We foresee at least four key players in the emerging Data Science - Library and Information Professionals (involved in acquisition, curation and publishing big data), computer science professionals (creating plat forms for big data like hadoop eco-system), statisticians (analytics and visualization) and domain experts.
The situation opens up new and interesting opportunities for professionals to explore and learn all aspects of what has taken the shape, holistically, of DATA SCIENCE. In view of the developments in data, Documentation Research and Training Centre, Indian Statistical Institute announces International Conference on Big Data and Knowledge Discovery (ICBK).
