The international CODATA community will likely be interested in the announcement below regarding the International Digital Curation Conference, which is taking place this year in Amsterdam in February. IDCC is an important event for data professionals - it is organised by the Digital Curation Centre which is one of the CODATA National Members in the UK.

You may also be interested that the CODATA-RDA Working Group for Short Courses in Research Data Science is co-organising a workshop on 25 February on curriculum development for research data handling. See below: we hope to see you at IDCC and at the workshop!

The annual 11th International Digital Curation Conference (IDCC) will be held on 22-25 February 2016 in Amsterdam. This year's theme is 'Visible data, invisible infrastructure’.

The IDCC attracts more attendees each year. It is an established annual event with a unique place in the digital curation community, reaching out to individuals, organisations and institutions across all disciplines and domains. It provides an opportunity for all those involved in curating data to get together with like-minded data practitioners to discuss policy and practice. The full programme can now be found online at http://www.dcc.ac.uk/events/idcc16/programme.

Register now at http://www.dcc.ac.uk/events/idcc16

Please note that the reduced rate registration for DCC Associates closes at midnight on Sunday 31 January, after which the full registration fee will apply.

This year's keynotes will be delivered by Barend Mons, Professor of BioSemantics and founder of the BioSemantics group at Leiden University Medical School (LUMC) and Susan Halford, Professor of Sociology and Director of the Web Science Institute at the University of Southampton.

On Tuesday 23 February the programme will feature an Open Data Panel and an interactive afternoon including posters, demonstrations and birds of a feather sessions which will shortly be chosen by conference delegates.

On Wednesday 24 February the programme will include research, practice and data papers aligned in three parallel sessions.
We hope there will be something for everyone!
