Hi Simon,

Thank you for your kind collaboration and leadership these many years, since we began working together with the first SciDataCon.

It has been an honour as well as pleasure to contribute to the IDPC with Paul Uhlir and now Francis Crawley as well as the many excellent members.

Mentioned in your note below, the UN’s International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development (IDSSD)<https://council.science/current/news/international-decade-of-sciences-for-sustainable-development/> that begins this year is a wonderful opportunity for synergies to enhance “science as a global public good.”

Wishing you and all copied a happy, healthy and prosperous 2024!!!

With best regards,

Paul

P.S. This is my first day of emails in 2024, after ceasing to look at messages since winter solstice last year, when my wife and I flew to Munich to be with our two daughters (both are permanent residents in Europe). We four are now together, back in Munich after a wonderful holiday in the Austrian alps surrounded by mountains, celebrating our elder daughter’s 33rd birthday, ringing in the New Year.😊
