Introduction: Climate change has been addressed by the United Nations as
one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals <https://sdgs.un.org/goals>(SDGs).
However, previous painful but valuable experiences combating climate
challenges have taught us the necessity of uniting global stakeholders to
take decisive actions before it is too late. In light of this, especially
under the guidance of open science, we plan to organize a hybrid workshop
for the SDG-13 Case Study
<https://codata.org/initiatives/decadal-programme2/global-open-science-cloud/case-studies/sdg-13-climate-change-and-natural-disasters/>.
Supported by the Global Open Science Cloud
<https://codata.org/initiatives/decadal-programme2/global-open-science-cloud/>
(GOSC)
Initiative, this workshop will be held during 16-18 May 2023 in Bangkok and
online. Discussions will include a review of the GOSC Initiative and its
SDG-13 Case Study, and SDG-13 research, such as SDG-13 data resources,
technologies, and showcases, with a particular focus on the Southeast Asian
regions. We hope this workshop could strengthen social engagement within
the SDG-13 community and promote mutual-beneficial collaboration between
stakeholders.

Sciences (CAS), START Regional Center for East Asia, CAS-TWAS Network for
