[CODATA-international] Enquête sur le partage et la publication des données en Afrique / Survey on data sharing and publishing in Africa

The Institut de Recherche pour le Développement (IRD) is co-organising with CIRAD and the Académie Nationale des Sciences, Arts et Lettres du Bénin (ANSALB) an international symposium on "Managing and opening up research data : panorama and perspectives in Africa". This scientific event will be held in Cotonou (Benin) from 25 to 27 October.  

In this perspective, we are conducting a study on the policies and mechanisms for sharing and publishing research data in Africa. This study provides an overview of research data sharing approaches in Africa, particularly in French-speaking Africa.  

To this end, we are conducting an exploratory survey via the following questionnaire on current practices, challenges and issues in the African continent in terms of research data sharing and publication.

The results of this survey will be widely shared and presented at the conference. In addition, the raw data from the questionnaire will be accessible to everyone.  

The questionnaire is anonymous and is made to take no more than 5 minutes to complete.
