This session seeks innovative presentations for interdisciplinary research and applications, including but not limited to, on Earth Science data service activities. Presentations addressing the specific industry and societal needs, best practices, learned lessons and new challenges in cloud computing, big data, AI/ML (artificial intelligent/machine learning), data provenance, and scientific reproducibility, regarding information access, visualization, and analysis, are highly encouraged. Discussion of challenges for future data services are also welcome.
Making Earth Science interdisciplinary data findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable (the FAIR Data Principle) is essential in research as well as in user communities. Adopting the FAIR data principle towards sustainable solutions in Earth Science is the path to open science.
