Dear Colleagues,

Please see the below that I am sharing on behalf of Caren Cooper, one of
the Co-chairs of the CODATA–WDS TG on Citizen Science for the SDGs.

Best wishes,
Rorie

I am writing regarding a NSF-funded project, "Establishing Norms of Data
Ethics in Citizen Sciences," in which we are co-creating a toolkit to
support trustworthy data practices in citizen science. We have been working
with CSA members and the broader citizen science community and would like
to extend an invitation to CODATA members. We have completed a series of
"Focus Group Sessions" across a series of data ethic topics and our next
steps involve hosting a series of "Resource Workshops" to develop the data
practice resources suggested in the previous focus group sessions.

*We are planning to hold a small group call/working session to discuss the
best approaches and content for a "Decision Support Tool" related to "Data
Access."* The tool is intended to help project owners/managers identify the
contexts in which it may be appropriate and desirable to make data open and
the options for doing so. We will provide more details closer to the call.

*If you have experience in open data practices concerning:*

   - *data management*
   - *data sharing*
   - *data licensing etc.*

*and are interested in contributing, please reply to
Elizabeth Jones <elizabeth_jones at ncsu.edu <elizabeth_jones at ncsu.edu>>*

Thank you for your time and help in advance!
