Subject: GEO Call for Proposals: “Open EO” track at FOSS4G

Dear colleagues,

The Group on Earth Observations (GEO) is pleased to be a key supporter of the largest community gathering of the open source geospatial community, which will take place online as part of FOSS4G 2021<https://foss4g.org/> September 29 - October 1.

FOSS4G is the annual flagship event of OSGeo and is the major forum to discover the state of the art in open geospatial technologies. Thanks to support from Switzerland, GEO is collaborating with FOSS4G on a 3-day “Open EO” track.

The interactive sessions, lightning talks and workshops will highlight how open Earth observations and related innovations contribute to the GEO engagement priorities. For example, relating to Climate Action, Disaster Risk Reduction, Sustainable Development and Urban Resilience. Submissions from the GEO Work Programme will be given preference.

To learn more and submit your proposal please click here<https://earthobservations.org/geo_blog_obs.php?id=504>. Please note that this call for proposals for the Open EO track closes on May 4, 2021 23:59 CEST.

With kind regards,

The GEO Secretariat
