[CODATA-international] Crowdsourcing a collection of papers with Sustainable Development Goals

I completely agree with Simon's view.

 "Open" alludes to being open to ideas that we (scientific communities) may
like or we may not. But ideas must not be stopped from being expressed!

Another point I would like to make is about APCs that are not only
expensive but prohibitively so. We must recognise this as topping the list
of factors contributing to "the divide" . Let me stress the point about
"authors who cannot afford and the institutes who cannot afford are offered
a discount' . Do we notice what proportion it  (have-nots) is of the whole
scientific community?  It is the whole Global South!! (barring a few
fortunately funded bodies there).  So giving an x% discount on what may be
APC of 1000 USD or more  is still prohibitive!! It does not count as
philanthropic support in case of Open Science.
