Use of population maps for urban  planning and health management: practical exercises in QGIS

In the framework of the MAUPP research project, a large and freely- available spatial database has been built for about 50 cities in sub-Saharan Africa and are ready to be used for health and vulnerability assessments. The database includes built-up density, land cover, land use and population density maps at different spatial resolutions.
